Leavesden was a working studio before anyone walked the tour. The eight Harry Potter films were shot on this lot. On 31 March 2012 the sets the crew had kept opened for a timed public walk, beside stages that still film.Leavesden era uno studio in attività prima che il tour aprisse i battenti. The station hall, the street, and the long dining room were not built later as city-museum copies. They are production pieces, put back together where the films were shot. The clearest is the red engine in the vaulted hall: a full locomotive, indoors, on a platform with no link to the main line.La sala della stazione, la strada e la lunga sala da pranzo non sono copie fatte dopo per un museo in città. Sono pezzi di produzione, rimontati dove i film sono stati girati. The forecourt you cross to get in is newer than the sets. Statues, a dark curved wall, and the tour’s own name on the facade mark the public entrance. A lot of the walk is this kind of looking: round wire glasses on a bare shelf, toy soldiers next to them, a cupboard of ordinary things asked to hold a story. The tour's history is the choice to leave those things on the lot instead of sending them into storage.Gran parte del percorso è proprio questo sguardo: occhiali tondi di filo su uno scaffale nudo, soldatini accanto, un armadio di cose ordinarie a cui è chiesto di reggere una storia.
